Our History...so far!
The story & inspiration of Turf Legends begins over 80 years ago, back in 1924, when Dick (FB) Rees partnered Red Splash to the first ever victory in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. At the time nobody realized the significance of the race, or that it would go on to become the Gold Ribbon event of steeplechase racing throughout the world.
Since then there have been many stories that highlight the romance and intrigue of one of Britain’s best-loved sports. Many legends have graced the turf since those early days – Legends like: Arkle, Golden Miller & Desert Orchid.
As a jockey of renowned style, both in and out of the saddle, we can think of no other sportsman better qualified to be the talisman of Turf Legends than Dick Rees.
Whilst we can’t claim to have been around back in the early days, since 2008 Turf Legends clothing has been bringing these stories to life, reflecting the passion and the heartbreak, the glamour and the good times that happen every day on the racecourses around the world.
Inspiration for the collections is clearly drawn from Britain’s rich heritage of racing. This clear influence, combined with a permanent quest to provide quality clothing is the unmistakable essence of the Turf Legends Collections.
